The Problem – A customer approached AMS Filling looking for a solution for a portable filler. Their current filler had a high center of gravity and often tipped over during transport throughout their facility. The customer needed something that was easy to move without tipping over, sometimes being wheeled through parking lots and uneven terrain. The solution also needed to be a washdown unit and feature sanitary contact points. They often would move the filler from location to location, perform batch production runs, clean the filler and then start the process over again.
The AMS Solution – Our engineers focused on the Center of Gravity for this machine with a mobile cart. The cart featured a large handle that allowed the operator to push the cart easily throughout the warehouse. There is a bladder system integrated into the filler to allow for accurate net weight fills. This machine is rated for washdown and also has 316 stainless contact parts. With a lower Center of Gravity on this machine, the customer’s problem of tipping was solved. The open frame on the machine also allowed for easy washdown and maintenance.
